Following the announcement of the NHS Long Term Plan in January, Northamptonshire Health and Care Partnership is launching a Health, Care and Wellbeing plan to prioritise the health concerns of local residents.

New 16-17 Half-Price Rail Saver

I am pleased to inform you that today the Department for Transport, together with the rail industry, has unveiled the brand new 16 – 17 Saver, which guarantees half-price travel for young people in England and Wales.  

Record Number of People on Work

Official ONS figures show that in the East Midlands, there are 2,366,329 people in work – meaning that, under the Conservatives, 266,592 more people have been able to access the security of a job.

Proposed Improvement Scheme to the Northampton Cliftonville Corridor

Northamptonshire Highways are consulting on a proposed improvement scheme to the Northampton Cliftonville Corridor.

​Northamptonshire is currently experiencing significant growth, with over 30,000 new homes planned up to 2031, creating opportunity for 15,000 new jobs.

Back in Government

On July 25th 2019 I was appointed as a Minister of State at the Department for Transport. I am delighted to have been asked to serve in Her Majesty’s Government by the new Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. 

A Big Thank You to Teachers

In and around the area of Daventry in 2010 there were 7,465 children in schools rated good or outstanding. Now this figure is 11,101, which is a huge boost of 3,636 children who are in higher rated schools now than they would have been 9 years ago.
