On Friday I visited Long Buckby to see the fantastic ‘Trees For Station Road initiative’ in action. This wonderful team of volunteers have planted 34 trees along the station road to improve the appearance of the area, attract wildlife and absorb pollution.

I would like to say a big thank you to London Northwestern Railway for supporting the project, as part of their £1.7million investment in dozens of community projects across the rail network. Schemes like this do brilliant work in developing a positive, enjoyable travelling experience for rail users and local residents. I look forward to seeing the trees blossom in the Spring!
