Thank you for contacting me about the implications of Brexit for Scotland
Following the EU referendum result, the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Scotland have both been clear that the UK Government will work with the Scottish Government and the other devolved administrations to get the best deal for Scotland and the whole of the United Kingdom in the negotiations with the EU. The first visit the Prime Minister made was to meet the First Minister in Edinburgh, which I believe demonstrates the importance she places on the Union.
The Prime Minister has been clear that the Government will negotiate our departure from the EU "as one United Kingdom", and we will leave "as one United Kingdom". As we leave, the Government is commited to securing a deal that works for all parts of the UK, including Scotland, and for the UK as a whole.
