Thank you for contacting me about BBC funding.

I appreciate your concern with future funding for the BBC. The BBC’s funding model (which was agreed with the BBC as part of the Royal Charter) was last considered as part of Charter Review 2015-16, following which the Government committed to maintain the licence fee funding model for the BBC for the duration of the current Charter period, until 2027.
